Introduction
Music, podcasts, lectures, interviews, much of the audio worth keeping lives on YouTube, but YouTube is not an audio player. The SavDown YouTube to MP3 Converter extracts the audio track from any YouTube video and saves it as a clean, high-bitrate MP3, ready to drop into your music library, podcast app, or DAW. We do not transcode from YouTube's lossy web stream, we pull the highest-quality audio track available, so a 320kbps MP3 sounds indistinguishable from the source. No accounts, no plugins, no bundled software, and no audio watermark at the end of the file.

What This Tool Does
Paste a YouTube URL, and the converter analyses the video for every available audio stream, then gives you a clean MP3 at 128 or 320kbps. The MP3 is the actual audio track from the source, no voice-over, no jingle, no 'downloaded from X' outro. For music videos, the 320kbps option is a near-CD-quality extract. For podcasts, lectures, and voice content, 128kbps is plenty and saves about 60% on file size. The whole process takes a few seconds, and the resulting file plays in iTunes, Windows Media, VLC, Audacity, GarageBand, Ableton, and any modern podcast app.
